Peace, Love and Ice Cream

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Like the title? Hehe.. me too.. it's a song sang by this artist I found name Sandy Dane from the Netherlands. I dunno why when I listen to this song my inner hippie feels like making a flower crown and run around the field (not naked I hope). The lyrics perhaps.

Lyrics :

It was peace love and ice cream
Flowers and tambourines
Butterflies high
In the clear blue sky
And a summer breeze
And we knew how to breath
Freedom

With tears full of laughter
Happy ever afters
And stories to tell
Oh we told them so well
In the glow of the fire
We sang the songs
Of freedom

It's time to relive all the memories
Catch every day in a frame

Sing with me
Na na na na na....
Let us go back in time
Just for a minute to '69
Come sing along with me
Na na na na na....
Let us go back again
We're praying this time
It will never end
So come sing along with me

It was peace love and ice cream
We lay down in the grass
In the Garden of Eden
We hoped it would last
But then time took away
The moment we faced
Freedom

It's time to relive all the memories
Catch every day in a frame

Sing with me
Na na na na na....
Let us go back in time
Just for a minute to '69
Come sing along with me
Na na na na na....
Let us go back again
We're praying this time
It will never end
So come sing along with me (3x)

It was peace, love and ice cream
Flowers and tambourines
Na na na na na....
It was peace, love and ice cream
We sat down by the fire, singing
Na na na na na....
This is our chance to go back again
So come sing along with me

Na na na na na....
Let us go back in time
Just for a minute to '69
Come sing along with me
Na na na na na...
Let us go back again
We're praying this time it will never end
So come sing along with me

I-want-to-live-here-!

Habitat 67 is a weird designed housing complex by architect Moshe Safdie in Montreal Quebec Canada as part of his master thesis at McGill University. The project first was initially aimed to create affordable housing by interlocking concrete forms and currently it is a privately owned condominium complex.
